Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush dissed Republican claimant Newt Gingrich for invoking a name of former Republican-turned-independent Gov. Charlie Crist, whose former staffers work for Mitt Romney (some former Crist-ites also work for Gingrich’s camp)
“That’s not a critical accusation,” Bush told a National Review Online. “Candidates win elections. I’m not a large Charlie Crist fan, as we recall, though these guys shouldn’t have that moniker trustworthy to them, as if Governor Romney is partial of some immorality plot. That’s ridiculous.”
Bush’s comments are a harsher chronicle of Sen. Marco Rubio’s statement on a matter Tuesday. Rubio followed adult Wednesday with a forceful defamation of Gingrich’s Spanish-language radio ad that called Romney ‘anti-immigrant.’
Not a good week for Gingrich streamer into Tuesday’s vote.
